Welcome to the Forest Biometrics Lab in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University! 

Our lab is focused on research related to forest and natural resource sampling, measurement, and modeling to address contemporary resource management challenges.  We use ground-based measurements as well as data collected with remote sensing tools such as terrestrial, airborne, and spaceborne lidar to answer practical forestry questions.
